2012 — Put together a solid true freshman season, earning playing time in all 11 games and starts in the Paladins’ final nine games...began the campaign as a backup to senior Derek Murray but beat out Murray for the starting job in game three versus Clemson...had four tackles and his first career interception (27-yard return) against Clemson...had a season high six tackles and pass deflection against Western Carolina (45-24 win)...recorded sacks in back-to-back games versus Chattanooga and Georgia Southern...11-yard interception return set up Furman’s first touchdown in season finale versus The Citadel...finished the season with 23 tackles, two tackles, and two interceptions...selected by coaches to the SoCon All-Freshman Team.
