"We are very excited to announce this year's schedule," said Furman head coach Larry Davis, who is entering his ninth season at the helm of the Paladin program. "This year's Jack-in-the-Box Classic is the best we've had with Marshall, a member of Conference USA, coming to Greenville. We also have a tough early season schedule that includes a potential top 10 team in Texas Tech and challenging games at Vanderbilt and Missouri."

Furman will also play host to West Coast Conference opponent San Diego on December 3. The Paladins open Southern Conference play at home versus Chattanooga on January 3, while this year's SoCon Tournament is slated for March 1-4, in Charleston, S.C.

Furman, 16-13 overall and 9-7 in the SoCon's South division a year ago, returns four starters, including juniors Moussa Diagne (6-8, C, 12.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg in 2004-05) and Robby Bostain (6-6, G/F, 11.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg in 2004-05).

Furman opens the season by hosting Macalester at 7:30p.m. on November 18, at Timmons Arena.
