Furman, 13-11 overall and 7-6 in the Southern Conference, looks for revenge after a 72-70 defeat at the hands of the Eagles on January 6, in Statesboro, Ga. The Paladins are coming off of a 69-64 win at Elon this past Saturday., which marked the Paladins' second straight SoCon road victory.

Georgia Southern, 10-14 overall and 3-10 in the league, has dropped eight of its last nine and slipped to fifth in the SoCon South Division. Donte Gennie leads the Eagles averaging 16 points an outing while forward Louis Graham averages 13.8 points and 8.5 boards per contest.

With five Southern Conference regular season games remaining, Furman is in the lead for the fifth and final first round bye for the Southern Conference Tournament later this month in Charleston, S.C. The top five teams in the final regular season standings earn a first round bye and will open tournament play on Thursday, March 1. Furman and Western Carolina are tied for fifth at 7-6 in SoCon play, but Furman holds the head-to-head tiebreaker with a 79-67 win over the Catamounts on January 20, in Greenville. No team who has failed to receive a first round bye has won four straight games to capture the SoCon Tournament title.

Monday's game marks Furman's final appearance of the season at Timmons Arena. The Paladins' final regular season home, a February 19, game against the College of Charleston, will take place at the Bi-Lo Center.
