Greenville, S.C. - The Furman men's basketball team opens a three-game homestand on Thursday when the Paladins host Southern Conference North Division foe UNC Greensboro on Carolina First Court at Timmons Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

The Paladins enter Thursday game at 10-11 overall and 4-6 in the SoCon after a 57-46 loss at Wofford on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans, who wrapped up a three-game homestand with a 62-55 win over Elon on January 28, are 5-16 overall and 4-6 in the league.

UNC Greensboro downed Furman 88-78 on January 9, at the Greensboro Coliseum in a game that featured 91 free throw attempts. Mikko Koivisto and Brian Cole scored 14 points apiece to lead six Spartans in double figures and UNCG converted on 33-of-54 trips to the foul line to remain perfect at 8-0 against the Paladins in Greensboro, N.C. Amu Saaka exploded for 31 points and 10 rebounds for the Paladins in the 10-point defeat.

The Spartans hold a 9-8 lead in the all-time series against Furman, but the Paladins have won the last two meetings in Greenville and are 6-1 all-time against UNCG at Timmons Arena.

Following Thursday's game, Furman will host Elon on Saturday on Carolina First Court at Timmons Arena. Tip-off is set for 8:05 p.m. and the game will be televised live by WMYA My 40 and simulcast on CSS. Chuck Hussion will call the play-by-play with Jack Connors handling color commentary and former Furman women's basketball standout Laney Harris Crowder serving as sideline reporter.

The Paladins will conclude their homestand on February 10, when they host Wofford at 7 p.m. in a WMYA televised contest.
