Greenville, S.C. -- The Furman men's basketball team returns from a three-game road trip to host Southern Conference North Division leading Appalachian State in a 6 p.m. contest Saturday evening at Timmons Arena. The game will be televised live by CSS with Chuck Hussion handling play-by-play and Ron Smith providing color commentary.
Furman, 11-11 overall and 5-6 in the league, is coming off of a 68-61 win at Chattanooga on Monday. The win snapped a six-game road losing streak and four-game SoCon road skid for the Paladins. Head coach Jeff Jackson's squad will look to extend its five-game winning streak at Timmons Arena against an Appalachian State (17-5, 9-2) team that downed Furman 77-63 in Boone on January 24.
The Paladins hold a 41-31 lead in the all-time series with Appalachian and have won three straight over the Mountaineers in Greenville.
After a week long break, Furman will travel to Elon to face the Phoenix on February 10.
