Greenville, S.C. -- The Furman men's basketball team travels to UNC Greensboro for its second meeting of the season with the Southern Conference North Division leading Spartans on Saturday at 6 p.m. The game will be televised live on CSS with play-by-play voice Tom Werme, color commentator John Kresse and sideline reporter Nate Ross.
The Paladins dropped a 91-86 double overtime decision to the UNCG in its SoCon opener on December 9, in Greenville. Ricky Hickman netted 29 points, including 26 after the halftime break to lift the Spartans to the win. Guard Eric Webb scored 26, including a 6-of-9 effort from three-point range, in the loss for Furman.
UNCG holds a 6-5 lead in the all-time series between the schools and has taken all five previous meetings at Fleming Gym in Greensboro.
The Paladins are coming off of a 77-63 loss at Appalachian State on Wednesday that snapped a three-game winning streak. Tony Anderson led the Paladins for the second game in a row by connecting on 5-of-8 three-point attempts for a team-high 15 points.
Furman continues its road trip Monday evening when it travels to face the Chattanooga Mocs at 7 p.m. at the McKenzie Arena.
