Greenville, S.C. -- Furman will look to continue its three-game Southern Conference winning streak Wednesday evening when it travels to Boone, N.C., to face the Appalachian State Mountaineers in a 7 p.m. contest at the Holmes Convocation Center.
Furman, 10-9 overall and 4-4 in the Southern Conference, concluded its three-game home set with a 63-59 victory over The Citadel on Monday night. Freshman guard Tony Anderson netted a career-high 20 points to pace the Paladins to their third fifth straight victory at Timmons Arena.
The Paladins, losers of four in a row on the road, will face Appalachian State before traveling to UNC Greensboro on Saturday and Chattanooga on Monday.
Appalachian State enters Wednesday's game at 14-5 overall and 6-2 in league play. The Mountaineers sports 6-1 home record and have scored impressive road victories over Virginia, Vanderbilt, and Virginia Commonwealth.
