Greenville, S.C. -- The Furman men's basketball team hosts Western Carolina in the second half of Southern Conference doubleheader at Timmons Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Paladins will entertain the Catamounts at 1:30 p.m. before the Paladins face Western Carolina at 4 p.m.
Furman, 8-9 overall and 2-4 in the SoCon, enter Saturday's game in search of its second straight league victory after downing Wofford 68-65 on Monday evening in Greenville. The game, the first of a three-game home set for the Paladins, snapped a three-game skid.
The Paladins reached the foul line 15 times in the second half against the Terriers converting 11 at the charity stripe. Furman managed a 44-28 edge on the boards, including 15 offensive rebounds, to improve to 7-1 when out-rebounding its opponent.
Furman will conclude its homestand on Monday when it hosts The Citadel and first-year head coach Ed Conroy at 7 p.m. at Timmons Arena.
