ELON, N.C. (AP) -- Ola Atoyebi scored 18 points and Elon rallied from a 13-point second-half deficit to beat Furman 66-61 on Saturday.
Brett James added 14 points and seven rebounds and Montell Watson scored 11 points for the Phoenix (4-3, 2-0 Southern Conference), who outscored the Paladins 45-29 in the second half for their second straight win.
Trailing 34-21 with 18:41 left, Elon went on a 23-9 run, capped by Atoyebi's layup with 8:06 left that put Elon ahead to stay.
Furman cut Elon's seven-point lead to two, but Monte Sanders hit four free throws in the final 29 seconds to ice it for Elon, which improved to 4-0 at home.
Jordan Miller scored 12 points, and Alex Opacic and Noah States had 11 apiece for Furman (0-6, 0-2).
Elon shot 55 percent from the field and held a 26-18 rebounding advantage.
