GENERAL: Redshirt junior who sports the most experience of any player in
a youthful Furman program...will provide a solid presence in the post as a
defender and shot blocker...arrived on campus three years ago as a raw
athlete...has made noticeable improvement in all areas since joining the
Paladin program....will be counted on heavily to help anchor Furman's
front line this year.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2006-07): Saw action in all 31 games, earning starts at
center in the first 21 contests before coming off the bench over the final
10 games...averaged 5.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game...tallied double
figure scoring performances in five contests, including a team and season
high 12 points versus California in Berkeley (84-50 loss)...scored 11
points to key Furman to a 70-62 road victory over Vanderbilt...keyed a
73-71 victory over UNC-Greensboro in Southern Conference Tournament first
round action with a nine-point, five-round performance.
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2005-06): Used a strong preseason to capture the
starting center job...went on to earn starts in 26 of Furman's 28 games
and average a credible 6.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in his first season of
action... shot a solid 53.2 percent from the field, helping Furman lead
the Southern Conference in field goal percentage (46.4 percent)...his 24
blocks was second highest on team behind Moussa Diagne's 32...named to the
SoCon All-Freshman Team along with teammate Jadee Jones...scored 14 points
and claimed a season high 10 rebounds against Macalester (100-58 win) in
his first collegiate game...tallied 17 points in a 91-55 win over Johns
Hopkins...had eight points, eight rebounds, and a pair of blocks in a
75-64 victory over South Carolina State in the first game of the
Jack-In-The-Box Classic (which Furman won)...collected 16 points (8x10
FGs) in a 66-53 loss at College of Charleston...followed it up with his
most impressive outing of the season, scoring 19 points, claiming six
rebounds, and blocking two shots in an 83-52 trouncing of Wofford in
Spartanburg...contributed eight points and seven boards in a 66-63 win
over Georgia Southern, snapping the Eagles' 18-game home winning
streak...registered a season high five blocks versus North Dakota State
(73-61 win).
AS A FRESHMAN (2004-05): Did not see any action...awarded redshirt and
extra year of eligibility.
HIGH SCHOOL: 2004 graduate of Monsignor Pace Prep School...basketball
coach was Mark Lieberman...averaged 10.0 points and 9.2 rebounds per game
as a senior in keying his squad to a 27-6 record and appearance in the AAA
Florida state semifnals...recorded a 14-point, 17-rebound performance in a
68-63 regional semifinal victory over Key West...scored 11 points and
recorded five blocks in the Dade vs. Broward All-Star Game...also
participated in the Dade/Broward vs. Palm Beach All-Star Game...as a
junior helped lead Monsignor Pace to a 33-5 record and state championship.
