GENERAL: Furman's lone senior...strong, physical player who will compete
for playing time at power forward...knows how to use his body to establish
position...boasts good shooting touch and 3-point range shooting ability.
AS A JUNIOR (2006-07): Earned playing time off the bench in all 31
games...averaged 3.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game...scored 10 points
in the Paladins' season opening, 88-69 win over Charleston Southern...most
productive game came in a 67-58 loss to Clemson when he scored a season
high 11 points and claimed eight rebounds in 17 minutes of action...outing
against Clemson included a pair of 3-pointers...claimed a career high nine
rebounds against California (84-50 loss)...tallied eight points and four
rebounds in an 80-77, double overtime loss to College of
Charleston...matched a career high with three assists in a 69-64 win over
Elon.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2005-06): Saw action in all 28 games...averaged 3.4 points
and 1.9 rebounds per game...connected on one of the season's most
memorable shots when he drained a 3-pointer with 36 seconds left to give
Furman a 64-63 lead en route to a 66-63 victory over Georgia Southern in
Statesboro...win at Georgia Southern snapped the Eagles' 18-game home
winning streak... in all converted 3-of-4 3-pointers and finished the
contest with a season high 12 points...two games later registered a season
high 20 minutes of action and scored 11 points in an 81-77 overtime loss
to Elon...had seven points and four rebounds versus North Dakota State
(71-63 win)...notched eight points and four boards against Missouri (72-63
loss)...scored six points, had three assists, and a pair of steals against
Johns Hopkins (91-55 win).
AS A FRESHMAN (2004-05): Registered playing time as a reserve in 24
games, averaging 9.2 minutes per contest...worked primarily at the power
forward slot but also some at small forward...displayed solid shooting
touch, converting 54.2 percent of his shots (32x59) from the field and
15-of-31 from 3-point range (48.4 percent)....drained 6-of-7 3-pointers
(and claimed a season high eight rebounds) on the way to a season high
20-point performance versus Virginia Intermont (126-33)...six 3-pointers
against Virginia Intermont marked the third most makes ever by a Paladin
and second highest percentage (85.7 percent) by a player in program
history...scored 10 points in a 71-51 win over Elon...scored seven points
(4x4 FTs) to help key a 63-60 win at The Citadel.
HIGH SCHOOL: 2004 graduate of Reserve Christian (La.) Academy...head
basketball coach was Timmy Byrd...saw action at both small forward and
power forward...averaged 18.0 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per
game while helping his squad to a 39-12 record...shot 52.0 percent from
the field and 39.0 percent from 3-point range...also contributed at an
81.0 percent clip from the free throw line...scored a season high 32
points in one contest...earned Slam Dunk To The Beach All-Tournament
honors after tallying 17 points in a 76-61 win over nationally No. 3
ranked Ranier (Wash.) Beach Academy and 22 points and eight rebounds in a
79-76 triumph over eight-ranked Westchester (Calif.) Academy...keyed
Reserve to a No. 18 national ranking at one point during the season...was
also recruited by Western Kentucky, Baylor, and Wisconsin-Green Bay.
