Furman captured a 90-88 double overtime victory over the Catamounts in Greenville on December 1, to improve to 45-29 all-time versus Western Carolina (6-18, 3-8 SoCon) and claim their sixth straight series win. Junior Jordan Lyons led Furman with 29 points, while senior Matt Rafferty tallied 21 points and 15 rebounds in the SoCon opener.

Last time out, Furman shot a season-best 57.8% from the field and Lyons netted 24 points as the Paladins secured their seventh straight victory over the Mercer Bears with a 74-63 win in Macon, Ga., on Saturday afternoon. The win marked the eighth true road victory of the season for the Paladins, who totaled seven true road wins last season after posting a school-record 12 road victories in 2016-17.

Furman returns home to host ETSU on Saturday, February 9, at 4 p.m. Saturday's game is sold out and there will be no tickets available at Timmons Arena prior to tip-off.
