Greenville, S.C. -- The Furman men's basketball team shoots for its fifth straight Southern Conference triumph and a regular season sweep of the Samford Bulldogs when it travels to the Pete Hanna Center in Birmingham, Ala., on Thursday at 8 p.m. EST.

The Paladins (13-10, 7-3 SoCon) upended ETSU, 74-70, on Saturday at Timmons Arena to move into second place in the SoCon standings while improving to 10-1 at home. Stephen Croone (1,719 points), who moved by former Paladin Mel Daniel and into eighth on Furman's career scoring list behind a 21-point performance versus the Bucs, drained two free throws with 2.5 seconds to play to secure the win.
