Furman-Elon Basketball Game Rescheduled For February 24; Paladins Host The Citadel On Saturday
Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's basketball team has rescheduled its home contest versus Elon, originally slated for Wednesday, to Monday, February 24, it was announced this morning by Paladin head coach Niko Medved.
The game, which is set to tip off at 7 p.m., was postponed on Tuesday due to the strong winter storm moving through the southeast.
Furman, 7-17 overall and 1-10 in the SoCon, dropped an 83-75 decision at Western Carolina on Monday night despite 27 points from sophomore Stephen Croone and a career night from freshman Adonis Rwabigwi, who totaled 17 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots. Rwabigwi posted a career night with 17 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots.
The Paladins are scheduled to host The Citadel on Saturday at 4 p.m. in a game that will be televised live on WMYA My40 throughout the upstate and western North Carolina. The contest marks the 200th all-time meeting between the Paladins and Bulldogs.
