A.J. Davidiuk Named All-Southern Conference

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Furman shortstop A.J. Davidiuk has been named to the All-Southern Conference second team in voting by league head coaches, it was announced today.
Davidiuk, a junior from Indian Trail, N.C., and Furman's only representative on the squad, is batting a team leading .340 with seven home runs and 45 runs batted in this spring. He also leads the Paladins in hits (72), doubles (16), slugging percentage (.524), and walks (22).
He also registered a solid season with the glove, fielding at a .949 clip.
Furman defeated No. 1 seed and nationally 20th-ranked College of Charleston 9-7 in Southern Conference Tournament first round action Wednesday at Joseph P. Riley Park. The Paladins play Elon Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in a winner's bracket game.
