April 6 Furman-UNC Greensboro Baseball Game Moved To Greenville's West End Field

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman's April 6 Southern Conference home baseball game against UNC Greensboro will be played at Greenville's West End Field, head coach Ron Smith confirmed Thursday afternoon.
First pitch for the contest, originally scheduled to be played on campus at Furman Stadium, is 7:00 p.m. The game will open a three-game league series for the Paladins, who will entertain the Spartans in a doubleheader Saturday, April 7, at Furman Stadium beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Furman has played one game at West End Field, that coming against the University of South Carolina on May 16, 2006, in front of 6,155 fans.
West End Field is the home of the Greenville Drive, the Single A minor league affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. Labeled a mini Fenway Park and located in downtown Greenville, the facility, which seats 5,000, sports a 30-foot high `Green Monster' left field fence and famous Pesky Pole down the right field line.
