GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Tuesday's Furman-Dayton baseball game at Latham Stadium has been postponed and rescheduled for Thursday at 3:00 p.m., according to Paladin head coach Ron Smith.
Furman (1-6), which dropped two of three games to Western Illinois over the weekend, is expected to start either freshman left-hander Nate Smith (0-0, 11.81 ERA) or senior right-hander Kevin Gaid (0-0, 4.50 ERA) against the Flyers (4-3).
Furman and Dayton split a pair of games during the 2002 season in the last meeting between the two schools. The Paladins hold a 3-2 advantage in the all-time series, with all five games being contested in Greenville.
