The RedHawks led 10-5 after six innings before sending 16 batters to plate in a 12-run seventh.
Miami jumped on top with a Redeker two-run home run in the first inning off Furman starter and losing pitcher Brian Dudzinski (0-1).
The RedHawks stretched the advantage to 5-0 with a three-run second before the Paladins answered with four runs in the bottom of the frame, highlighted by Brian Harrison's leadoff home run and an RBI single by Paul Nitto.
Leading 7-5 after four, Miami tacked on three runs in the fifth on the strength of a Redeker two-run single to make it 10-5.
