General: Strong, experienced competitor who will help form the corps of what has the potential to be a solid Paladin bullpen this spring...has proven himself as a closer and could again occupy that role or serve as a setup man...sports excellent control and an array of breaking pitches...spots pitches and changes speeds better than any member of Furman's pitching staff. 2004 -- Fashioned a strong junior campaign serving almost exclusively as the team's closer...went 3-3 with a staff best 2.85 ERA and a school record nine saves to top the previous standard of seven shared by Rob Purvis (2000) and David Mitchell (2003)...saves total ranked third in the SoCon as did his 33 appearances...surrendered only two walks and registered 13 strikeouts in his final 16 appearances, which spanned 21 1/3 innings...opponents batted a staff low .255 against him....recorded a no-decision in his lone start (vs. Clemson, 16-5 loss)...earned his first save of the campaign in a season opening 9-8 win over High Point...also notched saves versus Miami of Ohio (4-1), Ball State (4-3), Gardner-Webb (2-1), Louisiana-Lafayette (6-3), Elon (7-6), UNC-Asheville (4-3), Wofford (14-5), and Charlotte (4-1)...struck out two and didn't allow a hit in 1 1/3 innings versus Louisiana-Lafayette... 2003 -- Recorded 18 appearances, including 16 in relief and two starts...posted a 2.70 ERA...helped Furman to 32-24 record for most wins in school history...started and pitched 4.0 innings (4H, 1R, 2 BB, 1 K) while not allowing an earned run in Furman's eventual 10-8 victory over Clemson in Greenville -- the first of two wins over Clemson in 2003...got a no-decision in only other start, an eventual 10-6 Furman win over Georgia State. 2002 -- Made nine appearances, almost all in relief... lone start against nationally ranked South Carolina. 2001 -- Did not see any action.
