Furman: Heads into the 2009 season looking to complete comeback from a torn labrum that sidelined him for the entire 2008 campaign...injury occurred in 2007 while pitching for the Leesburg Lightning of the Florida Collegiate Summer League (FCSL)...a successful return will be significant plus for Furman pitching staff...sports good fastball with movement and a quality slider...improved location will dictate success at collegiate level. 2008 -- Did not see any action due to injury. 2007 -- Endured a rough first season at Furman, appearing in 13 games and working 20 2/3 innings...posted a 1-3 record...started two contests...picked up his first collegiate win in a 6-5 triumph over Lafayette (2.0 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2K)....followed up the Lafayette outing with a solid performance in an 8-7 loss to Yale (2.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 K)...allowed only a run on four hits while striking out four in season high 4.0 innings in a 15-4 loss at Elon...named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll.
