Furman-ETSU To Play Saturday Baseball Doubleheader

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Due to expected inclement weather on Sunday, Furman and East Tennessee State will play a Saturday baseball doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Latham Stadium, Paladin head coach Brett Harker has announced.

Winners of four straight, the Paladins (15-20, 4-8 SoCon) open the three-game series with the Buccaneers (19-15, 2-7 SoCon) tonight at 6:00 p.m.

Redshirt sophomore left-hander Grant Schuermann (3-4, 6.39 ERA) will get the start tonight for Furman followed by and junior right-hander Will Gaddis (3-3, 2.30 ERA) in Saturday's first game.  Matthew Quarles (4-2, 5.00 ERA) will toe the rubber in the second game of Saturday's twinbill.

All three games will be video streamed over Furman's YouTube channel, with Dan Scott, "The Voice of the Paladins", calling the play-by-play action for both the video live stream and audio broadcast, which will be carried over campus station 95.9 FM and streamed via Stretch Internet thru  Fans can also follow the action on twitter @FurmanBaseball
