High School:  2010 graduate of Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, Texas...pitched and also played first and third base...went 5-3 with a 2.26 ERA his senior year, registering 42 strikeouts and 17 walks in 34 innings...earned first team all-district honors...named 2009 Rawlings preseason All-American...hit .388 and was named team offensive MVP his junior year...ranked among the nation’s Top 200 high school prospects by Perfect Game...was invited to both the 2009 Area Code Game and 2009 MLB Texas Scouts Association All-Star Game...attended Holy Cross High School in New Orleans before spending a year at Northlake Christian following Hurricane Katrina...moved to Dallas after his freshman season...signed with Tulane in November of 2009 but was released from his commitment following a coaching change...later signed with Louisiana-Lafayette before transferring to Furman this past fall.
