Gainesville, Fla. - Furman junior Chibuzo Aguocha placed 21st in the triple jump at the 2007 NCAA Division I East Regional Track & Field Championships held at the University of Florida on Saturday afternoon at James G. Pressley Stadium at Percy Beard Track.

Aguocha's mark of 12.24m was the 21st best among the 40 athletes competing in the triple jump. The top five finishers advanced to the 2007 NCAA Track & Field Championships in Sacramento, Calif., on June 6-9. Aguocha qualified for the regional meet with her 12.74m performance at the 2007 SoCon Outdoor Championships and was the lone Paladin at the event. An all-conference performer in both track & field and volleyball, Aguocha holds the Furman indoor and outdoor records in the long jump and triple jump.
