SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Southern Conference announced today that Furman's Patrick Morgan has been named the Runner of the Week.

Morgan, a junior from Danville, Ky., placed fifth in the Blue Shoes 1,500-meter event at the Furman Invitational. Morgan was the first collegian to cross the finish line with a time of 3:47.15.

Morgan has the fastest time in the in the conference in the 1,500-meters and qualified for the NCAA Regional meet, held in Tallahassee, Fla. on May 31.
