GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Furman men's and women's cross country teams competed in Cullowhee this weekend, with the women finishing second and the men third in the 2007 Catamount Classic.

Junior Patrick Morgan paced the men's team, placing second in the 5K with a time of 15:33. Freshman Charlie McGoogan and juniors Joe Tenini and Jeff O'Connell also placed in the top twenty.

For the women, freshman Jenna Callahan headed up the pack, placing 11th with a time of 15:25.9 in the women's 4K event. Seniors Page Bridges, Lisa Mulvey, and Holly Stewart, junior Lindsey Barker, and sophomore Brittany Johnson rounded out the top twenty finishes for Furman.

The cross country teams will compete next in the Citadel Invitational in Charleston at the end of the month.
