Furman Cross Country Set To Host 33rd Annual Furman Invitational

Greenville, S.C. - The Furman men's and women's cross country teams will play host to the 33rd annual Furman Invitational Saturday morning at the Furman University Golf Course.

The meet will feature six races beginning at 8:30 a.m. with a 5K junior varsity girls race and concluding with the College Open Men's 8K event at 11:15 a.m.

The 2005 Furman Invitational field includes more than 60 high school teams and more than 25 collegiate teams from throughout the Southeast. Among the local high schools participating in the meet are Greenville High School, J.L. Mann High School, Eastside High School, Wade Hampton High School, Travelers Rest high School and Blue Ridge High School.

9:15 - Junior varsity boys (5K)

9:45 - Varsity girls (5K)

10:15 - Varsity boys (5K)

10:45 - College Women (5K)
