Furman Completes Day One at Solid Orange Classic

Clemson, SC -- The Furman men's and women's track and field teams completed day one of competition at the Solid Orange Classic held at the Rock Norman Outdoor Track and Field Complex on the campus of Clemson University on Friday afternoon. Junior Eric Albrecht won the men's 3000 meter steeplechase event with a time of 10:13.80.
Along with Albrecht, FJ Goodwin finished second in the 3000 steeplechase with a finish of 10:21.73. Andrew Orr finished second in the men's 5000 meter run with a mark of 16:21.55.
Page Bridges finished second in the women's 3000 meter steeplechase with a final time of 11:47.87. Three Furman runners placed in the top ten in the women's 5000 meter run with Holly Stewart finishing fourth (20:19.45), Kelsey Jones placing seventh (20:53.85), and Guinn Garrett finishing ninth (21:46.71).
Furman will complete competition at the Solid Orange Classic as Day Two finishes on Saturday afternoon.
