Mullen Leads Lady Paladins At Clemson Indoor Classic

Clemson, S.C. -- Sophomore Rebecca Mullen scored a second place finish in the women's 800m to lead a trio of Lady Paladins in the top 10 at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Classic Saturday in Clemson, S.C.
Mullen continued her strong performances posting a time of 2:16.75 to finish less than three tenths of a second behind Clemson's Patrice McMillan. McKenzie Sharpe finished fifth in 2:19.35 while freshman Lindsey Barker rounded out Furman's top 10 finishers with an eighth place showing in 2:21.92.
A native of Atlanta, Ga., Mullen scored a first place finish last month at the Noswinger Foundation Invitational and fourth place finish in the 800m at the Taarheel Invitational.
Sophomore Chibuzo Aguocha also grabbed a top 10 finish placing eighth in the women's long jump. Aguocha's distance of 18'3-1/4" helped the Lady Paladin standout finish ahead of more than 30 athletes.
Furman freshman Patrick Morgan, running as an individual, claimed first in the men's 800m in 1:55.28.
