Aguocha Leads Lady Paladins At Carolina Invitational

Chapel Hill N.C. -- Furman's Chibuzo Aguocha claimed first place in the women's triple jump with a school record jump of 38'5" to pace the Lady Paladins at the Carolina Indoor Invitational Saturday in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Aguocha's jump bested her own school record of 38'4-3/4" set in February of last season. The sophomore, who doubles as a member of the Lady Paladin volleyball team, also placed 12th in the long jump with a distance of 17'3".
Rebecca Mullen and McKenzie Sharpe placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the women's 800m. Mullen posted a time of 2:16.52 to edge Sharpe's time of 2:16.58.
Furman also got a strong showing from its distance medley relay team which took home first place honors in 12:26.67. Complete results are available below.
