Bridget Posey is entering her fourth season as a member of the Furman track & field staff. She is serving as interim head coach and assists in coaching sprints, hurdles and jumps.

Prior to her time at Furman, she served as a volunteer assistant coach at USC Upstate, where she helped coach the sprint and jump events.  She also worked as an AAU/USATF coach for many years including six years of coaching for the Spartanburg Striders Track Club. She has coached several runners who advanced to the AAU/USATF Junior Olympics. 

A native of Cowpens, S.C., Posey graduated from Broome High School and attended Charleston Southern University where she graduated in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and competed on the track and field and cross country teams. She earned Big South All-Conference honors in the 200 meters, 400 meters, 4 x 100 meter relay and 4 x 400 meter relay. She was also named Team MVP.
