Freshman Year (2008-09): After a 6th place finish at The Citadel Invitational ran a personal best of 18:55.1 for 26th at the Southern Conference Cross Country Championships . . . medical redshirt for Indoor and Outdoor track.
High School: Finished third in the state in cross country as a sophomore, fourth as a junior and sixth as a senior...earned all-state honors in cross country for three straight years...region champion in cross country in 2005, 2006 and 2007...winner of the seeded race at the Great American Cross Country Festival in 2007...region champion in the 1600m in 2006, 2007 and 2008...region champion in 3200m in 2006 and 2008...region champion in 800m in 2007...named all-state for track in 2007 and 2008, following third place and second place finishes in the 1600m event...finished fourth in the state in the 3200m run as a senior...earned Easley High's Most Valuable Cross Country Runner for four straight years...earned Most Valuable Track Runner as a freshman, sophomore and junior...recipient of the High School Heisman state award in 2008.
