GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman cross country teams will compete at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational Presented by Under Armour at the Zimmer Championships Course in Madison, Wis., and at the High Point VertCross Invitational at the Ivey M. Redmon Sports Complex in Kernersville, N.C., on Friday.

The Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational will kick off with a women's 6K at 12:20 p.m. CT followed by the men's 8K at 1 p.m. CT.  Thirty five men's teams and 33 women's teams will compete at the meet, which features many of the top-ranked teams in the nation, including the 10th-ranked Paladin men and the 21st-rated Paladin women.

The High Point VertCross Invitational will feature a women's 6K at 4 p.m. and a men's 8K at 4:45 p.m.

"I believe the entire program has looked forward to really getting an idea of where we are on the national stage, and the Nuttycombe meet has the vast majority of teams that will ultimately qualify for the NCAA meet, so it serves as an excellent barometer," said Furman head coach Robert Gary.  "High Point will also allow us to get a great look to determine our roster as we are only a couple weeks out from championship season."

Live results will be available following the Wisconsin race at http://www.go.wisc.edu/Nuttyresults and on www.furmanpaladins.com, the official website for Furman University athletics.  Complete results from High Point will be available on www.furmanpaladins.com at the conclusion of the races.
