Buchalski Sets Paladin Record & Leads NCAA In 3,000m

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.. -- Senior Allie Buchalski set a new Paladin record and leads the NCAA following her performance in the women's 3,000m Saturday at the Camel City Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Buchalski was the top collegiate finisher in the event, posting a time of 9:06.68 and slashing nearly seven seconds off her previous Paladin record of 9:13.39, which she set last month.  Buchalski's time leads the nation so far this season in the event.   

Senior Troy Reeder placed ninth in the men's 3,000m with a time of 8:04.96, which ranks among the top-25 times in the nation to this point in the season.  

Furman will compete at the Iowa State Invitational in Ames, Iowa, and at the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash., Feb. 10-11.
