FURMAN SPORTSMEDICINE CENTER
Furman University's Sportsmedicine Center, now with two campus locations encompassing nearly 7,000 square feet of space, state-of-the-art equipment, and a diverse professional staff, provides the finest in sports rehabilitation, physical therapy, and athletic training services to Furman's student-athletes, campus community and the general public.
The main center, with it's over 4,000 square-feet of space, located in the Athletics Building, was completed in 1992, and since its opening has served as the hub of treatment and rehabilitation services for the campus community, public and Furman's Division I athletes.
In 1998, the Sports Medicine department, through generous gifts and support from the Greenville medical community and others, expanded with the opening of its new 2,700 square-foot facility in Timmons Arena. This facility was completed to service the move of the University¹s football, basketball, and volleyball programs to the new complex.
In addition to these facilities, the Sportsmedicine Center also utilizes the University's Physical Activities Center for their extensive aquatic therapy program. The Sportsmedicine Center represents a total commitment by the University to the well-being of its students as well as the University¹s desire to be an active member of the Greenville community by opening its doors to the public.

 Physician Referral:
Patients seen for rehabilitation services are seen on a physician referral basis. Free consultation services are available to the campus community.
Fees & Insurance:
There are several options of payment for professional services. We accept check, cash, MasterCard and Visa. For plans in which we participate, we will file your claim. The Furman University Sportsmedicine Center participates as a provider with many of the major health plans in our area. We are also a provider of services for the Medicare program. The Sportsmedicine Center is a participating provider for the Furman University employee health plan. Patients are responsible for the co-payment and/or deductible at the time of their visit. Fees for services rendered are due at the time of service, unless prior arrangements have been made.
