PALADIN CLUB MISSION
The Furman Paladin Club is the organization charged with raising athletic scholarships for over 320 student-athletes who represent Paladin Athletics in 17 different sports. Nearly 80% of these student-athletes are on some form of athletic scholarship. The cost of a quality Furman education has risen exponentially in recent years. In order to offset this rising cost, annual scholarship funding through the Paladin Club is essential to maintain the quality of competition that Furman puts forth on the field and on the court.
The mission of the Paladin Club is to enable young men and women to receive a quality, unsurpassed education, first and foremost, while at the same time allowing them to compete in a highly successful and respected athletics program. Furman is one of very few institutions that combines a nationally-known and ranked liberal arts university with Division I athletics, allowing the best students to compete athletically at the highest level. While we have high expectations for conference, regional, and national championships, we also have high expectations for outstanding graduation rates, personal growth, and community involvement. As a member of the Paladin Club, you become a critical part of a successful athletics program with a tradition of developing a true student-athlete.
Furman supporters and donors have always given graciously from their hearts. Year after year, the Paladin Club continues to set new records in both dollars raised and number of members. The Paladin Club averages approximately 1,500 members and is continuously growing. Each member has an immediate impact on the lives of Furman's student-athletes as every dollar raised goes to athletic scholarships. Many of our student-athletes would not otherwise be able to attend Furman except for the generosity of Paladin Club donors.
