LEXINGTON, KY. - Host Communications, Inc. has been named the multi-media rights holder for Furman University in Greenville, S.C. effective immediately.

"We are very excited to expand our network of schools and look forward to working with Furman University," said Host Communications CEO and President Tom Stultz. "Furman is an excellent university with strong fan and alumni bases in a great market." Furman University's Director of Athletics Gary Clark added, "The opportunity to partner with Host Communications, the most recognized name in collegiate marketing, was very appealing and, we believe, allows us to achieve needed economies of scale and increased exposure on both regional and national levels. It's a win-win partnership."

Under the agreement, HOST will sell, produce, and distribute radio broadcasts for Furman Paladin Sports Teams. HOST will also have the right to sell, produce, and distribute coaches' shows, television broadcast of games, game-day programs, hospitality opportunities, corporate sponsorship, and internet.

David Nunnery will serve as the General Manager for the Furman Sports property while continuing his duties of VP of Sponsorship and Director of Print Advertising for HOST.

"Furman has had a lot of success athletically. Our goal is to capitalize on that success in a manner that promotes Furman's tradition of excellence," says Nunnery.

Additionally, HOST will add Chuck Hussion and Dawn McCollum in this new agreement. Hussion has served as the director of athletic sales and promotions in the Furman Athletic Department for seven years, and he will continue those duties under the new Furman Sports Network banner. He will also continue his duties as the Furman play-by-play announcer for football and men's basketball. McCollum will be the marketing and advertising coordinator for the Furman Sports Network.
